Florida State and Clemson, as expected, dominated on the national signing day, but Mark Richt has Miami right on their heels.

Want more proof the arrow is pointed up for the ACC? The conference has nine teams ranked among the latest top 40 recruiting classes, second behind the SEC (12). That would be the most Top 40 classes for the league since it expanded to 14 teams in 2013: No. 6 Florida State No. 9 Clemson No. 13 Miami No. 23 Virginia Tech No. 26 North Carolina No. 28 Louisville No. 33 Pitt No. 34 Duke No. 39 Georgia Tech We'll see how they finish up later today.

Two of the biggest rivalries in the ACC have moved to September, at least for 2017. Miami travels to Florida State on Sept. 16, the first time the teams will play in the opening month since 2009. Duke plays at North Carolina on Sept. 23, the earliest meeting between the schools in their 103-year series history.

Ohio State reserve offensive lineman Evan Lisle has used a graduate transfer and enrolled at Duke for the start of the spring semester. The 6-foot-7, 310-pound blocker graduated last month with a degree in family resource management after appearing in 26 games in a limited role over the last two seasons.
