Ohio State has elevated Ryan Day from co-offensive coordinator to offensive coordinator. Day will still work with fellow OC Kevin Wilson to run the Buckeyes offense. Urban Meyer: "He has been approached by other schools numerous times this offseason for coordinator and head coach opportunities, and by the National Football League for a coordinator opportunity. I am pleased that he has elected to continue to work on this staff."

Ohio State announced that quarterbacks coach Ryan Day has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Day had been rumored to be linked to the offensive coordinator position with the Tennessee Titans, but elected to stay with the Buckeyes and will coach along side Kevin Wilson at Ohio State.

Ohio State co-offensive coordinator Ryan Day is staying with the Buckeyes for a second season, a source told ESPN. Day was a candidate for the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator job under new coach Mike Vrabel. He is set to earn $800,000 with Ohio State in 2018.

Sources: OSU's Day considers Titans' OC job

ESPN 300 DE Tyreke Smith picked Ohio State over several schools Thursday, the first of a number of top prospects who announced their commitments during the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, Florida.
