No military academy will waive active duty

The Pentagon announced Monday that the military service academies will not approve requests to waive active-duty commitments for players selected in a professional-sport draft.

Jeff Legwold ESPN Senior Writer

Personally, I think it would be a great thing if the Broncos used their final pick of the day, and the draft's final pick, to select Air Force wide receiver Jalen Robinette no matter if Robinette can, or can't, receive a waiver to play in 2017. They could place him on reserve/military and wait. Think that works for everybody and if Robinette is allowed to play in the upcoming season the Broncos get a quality developmental player.
