Golden Hurricane scores with best of 'em

Tulsa's Philip Montgomery should be among the top Group of 5 coaches to watch in 2017. Montgomery's hiring didn't generate much fanfare, but it has worked out exceptionally well for Tulsa in the first two seasons. After AAC coaches Willie Taggart and Matt Rhule vaulted to Power 5 jobs, Montgomery should follow soon.

Senior Keevan Lucas' 11-yard catch late in the third quarter vs. Central Michigan in the Miami Beach Bowl is the 32nd of his college career, tying Howard Twilley and Steve Largent. The Golden Hurricane lead 48-3.

Dane Evans throws 28 yards to Keevan Lucas well behind single coverage. That's four TD passes for Evans, two scoring catches for Lucas and a 41-3 lead for Tulsa over Central Michigan in the third quarter.
