Appalachian State wins on walkoff FG

Zach Matics atoned for two earlier misses by hitting a 23-yard FG as time expired to give Appalachian State a 31-29 win over Ohio at the Camellia Bowl. The Mountaineers had been down 24-7 entering the fourth quarter.

Ohio converts on 4th down, takes lead

Ohio has taken a 29-28 lead on Appalachian State after a short FG, right after Greg Windham dropped the ball but found Kawmae Sawyer for a 33-yard pass on fourth down to keep the drive alive.


Ohio draws closer with safety

Jovon Johnson, who earlier scored a defensive TD, tackled Marcus Cox in the end zone for safety, cutting Appalachian State's lead over Ohio to 28-26 late in the fourth quarter of the Camellia Bowl on ESPN.


Appalachian St. scores again, takes lead

The Mountaineers have scored 21 points in less than two minutes to open the fourth quarter to take a 28-24 lead on Ohio at the Camellia Bowl. Taylor Lamb hit Barrett Burns on an 8-yard TD to put Appalachian State ahead.

Appalachian State fumbled the ball deep in their own territory just before halftime, allowing Ohio to tack on another TD on a 7-yard run from A.J. Ouellette to take a 17-7 lead at the Camellia Bowl.
