The 2018 class of prospects in Oregon is as strong as the state has been in years, but the Ducks and Beavers still seem to be fighting an uphill battle for in-state recruits. Oregon and Oregon State missed out on elite in-state defensive prospects Marlon Tuipulotu (signed with USC) and Elijah Molden (Washington) last year, and the Huskies again delivered a statement on Wednesday, grabbing a commitment from Oregon product Trey Lowe, who holds offers from Oregon and Oregon State. There are four ESPN JR 300 prospects in Oregon and they are becoming must-get prospects for the Ducks especially. Wide receiver Chase Cota is the son of former Duck great Chad Cota and linebacker Eli'Jah Winston is the younger brother of current Oregon linebacker La'Mar Winston.
