Notre Dame safety Alohi Gilman, a transfer from Navy, had his appeal denied by the NCAA to be eligible this season. "We have put that one to the side and we'll move forward," coach Brian Kelly said. "Alohi will be obviously eligible next year, and we're excited about his involvement in our program." Gilman started 12 games for Navy in 2016.
