Another disastrous first half for Nebraska. It trails Northern Illinois 14-0 in Lincoln. QB Tanner Lee has held the ball too long and made poor decisions, two of which went for NIU scores. So Mike Riley is in a tight spot. Does he consider backup Patrick O'Brien or even true freshman Tristan Gebbia?

So you thought the first half went badly last week for Nebraska? Well, it did. But the Huskers trail 14-0 to Northern Illinois at home after one quarter -- on a pair of pick-sixes. NIU has gained 26 yards and possessed the ball for 3 minutes, 8 seconds. Penalties are making it worse for Nebraska.

Kenny Golladay draft highlights (0:43)

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

Here are the Lions picks so far through the first three rounds of the draft: 1. Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida 2. Jalen "Teez" Tabor, CB, Florida 3. Kenny Golladay, WR, Northern Illinois

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

New Lions WR Kenny Golladay made his own highlight tape when trying to transfer from North Dakota after his sophomore year. Ended up at North Dakota because it was his only offer out of high school. Said he did not keep the highlight tape and "erased that" when he figured out he was going to Northern Illinois.

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

New Lions WR Kenny Golladay met with Robert Prince before his pro day and also came to the team's facility on a visit. At 6-4, he is "blessed" with his size. He said Prince talked to him about being the No. 3 receiver this season.

Michael Rothstein ESPN Staff Writer

The Lions finally looked to offense in the third round, taking receiver Kenny Golladay from Northern Illinois. The 6-foot-4 Golladay gives the Lions the big red zone receiver the franchise has craved. His 4.5-second 40-yard dash is good for his size and he had two 1,000-yard seasons at NIU. He'll give the Lions flexibility in three receiver sets with Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

Group of 5 schools considering own playoff

A growing number of Group of 5 officials are in favor of adding a playoff specifically for the Group of 5 schools because it's been 32 years since a non-Power 5 team won a national championship.
