Western Kentucky is hiring Northern Iowa co-offensive coordinator Ryan Mahaffey as tight ends coach, according to a source. WKU coach Mike Sanford knows Mahaffey from his time as a Notre Dame graduate assistant. Mahaffey played tight end at Northern Iowa and began his coaching career at his alma mater before joining the Notre Dame staff.
