Delaware is hiring Richmond's Danny Rocco as its next coach, a source tells ESPN. He will receive a five-year contract at Delaware. Rocco informed Richmond today of his departure. Rocco is 43-21 in five seasons at Richmond and 90-41 overall as a head coach. He replaces Dave Brock, fired in October. Rocco is a Pennsylvania native who has coached at Virginia, Maryland, Texas and Boston College, among other college spots, as well as with the New York Jets in 2000.


Eastern Washington rolls over Richmond 38-0

Gage Gubrud finished 21 for 32 for 287 yards and three touchdowns, all three in the first half, to lead Eastern Washington past Richmond 38-0 in the FCS quarterfinals Saturday.

David Broadus scored on a 4-yard run in the third overtime and the Richmond defense held on the ensuing possession for a 36-30 win over Albany on Saturday.
