Kansas hires TCU's Meacham as OC

Kansas hired Doug Meacham as offensive coordinator. Meacham had the same role at TCU and led an offense that was explosive in 2014 and 2015 but struggled in 2016.

Max Olson ESPN Staff Writer

Kansas coach David Beaty has hired OC Doug Meacham away from TCU. That is quite a coup for a KU program with a 2-22 record in the past 2 seasons. TCU had one of the nation's most prolific offenses in 2014 and 2015 under Meacham and Sonny Cumbie. The Frogs struggled with inconsistency throughout the 2016 season after losing QB Trevone Boykin and 4 other seniors to the NFL.
