Houston's canceled game against UTSA in Week 1 because of Hurricane Harvey will not be made up, the Cougars announced.
Houston won't play its season opener against UTSA, and instead will open its season at Arizona on Sept. 9.

The University of Houston just announced its season opening football game vs. UTSA is canceled as a result of the continuing impact of Hurricane Harvey. Houston's volleyball, soccer and cross country events have also been canceled. A later date for the football game will be explored.
The NCAA has handed down a show-cause order to former Alabama assistant and current Texas-San Antonio defensive line coach Bo Davis, prohibiting him from recruiting off campus until April 2019.
