New Mexico and UTSA combined for a total of one pass completion (one six attempts, all by UTSA) in the first quarter of the Gildan New Mexico Bowl -- in part because of the gusty wind and also because the Lobos run a triple-option attack directed by coach Bob Davie. New Mexico running back Richard McQuarley scored his 17th touchdown of the season on the second-to-final play of the opening quarter to put UNM on top 7-3. Here's to a bowl season full of three-hour games.
