Source: Western Michigan is hiring former Indiana offensive coordinator Kevin Johns as its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Johns spent the past six seasons in a coordinator role at Indiana and also worked with the Hoosiers' wide receivers and quarterbacks. FootballScoop.com first reported Johns' hiring at Western Michigan. Really good move for new Broncos coach Tim Lester.

WMU hires Purdue assistant Lester as new coach

Western Michigan has hired former Purdue assistant Tim Lester as its football head coach. Lester, a star quarterback at WMU, will take over for newly minted Minnesota coach, P.J. Fleck.

Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck, when asked about his name still being connected to other jobs: "I'm going to Kalamazoo. I don't know where you're going or where everybody else is going. I'm on the bus unless they don't want me. ... I love where I'm at, period. It's as simple as that. We're heading back to Kalamazoo."
