The Poinsettia Bowl was a rainy affair in which BYU held on to win, as the Cougars intercepted the Cowboys late to quash Wyoming's comeback.

BYU holds on to beat Wyoming 24-21 in the Poinsettia Bowl. The ViewFromVegas is Wyoming rallied to get in the back door as a 10-point underdog. Favorites have won 7 of the 9 bowls so far, but underdogs lead 5-4 ATS with three losing 'dogs staying within the spread. The game stayed under the betting total of 56.5 points and unders are now 8-1 as the only over was in last night's Boca Raton Bowl.

Josh Allen lofts it to Tanner Gentry for a 23-yard TD, cutting BYU's lead to 24-21 with just over 2:00 left in the fourth quarter of the Poinsettia Bowl.

The weather is never an excuse but it is a factor tonight in the SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl. BYU has already had two turnovers but play as a whole has been sloppy (the two teams have only combined for 2-of-11 third downs).


Mangum dives for game's first score

Tanner Mangum drops back to throw, but he decides to keep it himself and dives in for the TD to give BYU a 7-0 lead over Wyoming in the Poinsettia Bowl on ESPN.


Botched punt sets up BYU score

Wyoming lost 20 yards on this botched punt, giving BYU the ball at the Cowboys' 3-yard line late in the first quarter. Two plays later, the Cougars punched it in to take a 7-0 lead.
