Brown leads the way in receiving

Ole Miss sophomore A.J. Brown is atop the nation through two weeks with 389 receiving yards, just 23 yards short of his entire 2016 total. Hawai'i's John Ursua and Marshall's Tyre Brady made the top five mostly on the strength of one outing, as Ursua put up 272 yards on Aug. 26, and Brady tallied 248 on Saturday.

Pitt holds off rally, tops Marshall 43-27

Nate Peterman threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, including a 54-yard lob to Jester Weah with 1:04 to go as Pittsburgh avoided a second-half meltdown by outlasting Marshall 43-27 on Saturday

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Pittsburgh shut out Marshall in the first half, then gave up 27 points in the second half. But as coach Pat Narduzzi said afterward, the Panthers at least finished off the game with a 43-27 win. Still, Pitt has not exactly been a second-half team this season, and that is going to have to change as ACC play resumes next week against Georgia Tech.
