SOURCE: Utah State is hiring former Western Kentucky coach Mike Sanford as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Sanford spent the past two seasons at WKU, and also has been an offensive coordinator at both Notre Dame and Boise State. Still only 36, Sanford re-enters the Mountain West, where he has played and coached at Boise State. He'll take over a Utah State offense that thrived under David Yost, and has a dynamic quarterback in redshirt sophomore Jordan Love. A strong hire here by Gary Andersen as Sanford had other options.
