Mullen compares Fitzgerald and Prescott's talent (2:48)

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Dan Mullen says he's in favor of the new redshirt freshman proposal that would allow a redshirt frosh to play up to four games without losing a year of eligibility. He thinks it would help with the development of young players and allow a freshman to contribute late in the season if he's ready. Would also help players who get injured but play late in the season. "I think it'd be very advantageous for the players and the the game."

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen says that he isn't necessarily concerned about the new early signing period, but it does significantly change the recruiting calendar and tactics for coaches. He also thinks that the December signing day will become the new popular signing day. Makes early, offseason official visits a new focus for kids and coaches

2018 NFL Draft preview (2:42)

Sheil Kapadia ESPN Writer

With the 210th pick (sixth round), the Seahawks have selected offensive tackle Justin Senior out of Mississippi State. Senior (6-foot-5, 331 pounds) has 34-inch arms and started 39 games (38 at right tackle, one at left tackle) over the last three years. He tested poorly from an athleticism standpoint and will have to battle for a roster spot this summer.
