My big takeaway from what turned out to be a crazy Birmingham Bowl? The two quarterbacks. Quinton Flowers, the game MVP, accounted for 366 total yards and five touchdowns. And in a losing effort, Jake Bentley threw for 390 yards and three touchdowns. Both will be back next year.

South Florida beats South Carolina 46-39 in overtime of the Birmingham Bowl. The ViewFromVegas is the Bulls (who squandered an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter) did NOT cover as 10.5-point favorites and the game went over the closing total of 59.5 points. So, underdogs are on an 8-1 ATS run and improve to 20-6 ATS (76.9 percent) overall in bowl games. The under dips to 15-12 (57.7 percent).
