Air Force beats South Alabama 45-21 in Arizona Bowl. The ViewFromVegas is the Falcons covered as 14.5-point favorites and the game went over the betting total of 54.5. This was the second straight cover by a favorite in the bowl games, but underdogs are still dominating at 23-9 ATS (71.9 percent). Unders dip to 18-14 (56.3 percent).

South Alabama and Louisiana-Lafayette both won on Saturday to finish 6-6, so there will be only two 5-7 teams in postseason bowl games: North Texas and Mississippi State.
Xavier Johnson rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns, both career bests, and South Alabama became bowl eligible with a 35-28 win over New Mexico State on Saturday.
The door is now open for sub-.500 teams to play in bowls again this season. There are 80 bowl slots to fill, and Saturday's games brought the number of bowl-eligible teams to 74.
Isaiah Saunders ran 23 times for 142 yards and three touchdowns Saturday and Idaho guaranteed itself a bowl game with a 38-31 win over South Alabama.
