Arizona State released the following statement from Vice President for Athletics Ray Anderson regarding the $10,000 fine WSU coach Mike Leach received for comments he made about ASU's sign-stealing practice: "I fully support the Pacific-12 Conference Office and Commissioner Larry Scott's decision on this matter. Our professional integrity was questioned for two straight years by Mike Leach's irresponsible comments and we will not allow that to happen. We are pleased with the outcome and for us the matter is closed."

Colorado, which hasn't been to a bowl game since 2007, is now one win away from bowl eligibility after cruising by Arizona State 40-16. They head to Stanford next week searching for their sixth win. Running back Phillip Lindsay paced the Buffs with 219 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Colorado is 15 minutes away from the program's first win over Arizona State. The Buffs lead the Sun Devils 33-13 heading into the fourth quarter. Both teams had matching conference records (2-1) entering the game. The winner pulls into a tie with Utah (3-1) atop the Pac-12 South.

Arizona State came into Saturday's game against Colorado yielding just 89.3 yards per game -- tops in the Pac-12. Through the first half the Buffs have 134 rushing yards and all three of their touchdowns have come on the ground. Colorado leads 23-10 at the break.

Arizona State and Colorado are tied at 7-7 after one quarter in Boulder. The Buffs have been fearless in attacking the league's top rush defense and have pounded out 89 yards on the ground, headlined by Kyle Evans (8 YPC, TD). But a muffed punt put the Sun Devils deep inside Colorado territory and ASU capitalized with a touchdown pass from Manny Wilkins to TE Kody Kohl.
