Biggest area of need: Arizona State

The central component of Arizona State's plan to rebuild the secondary should reside in developing the talent that is already on the roster.

It was a huge day for the Pac-12 on the recruiting trail, as the conference added five prospects during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The headliner was No. 12 overall prospect, offensive tackle Foster Sarell, who committed to Stanford. UCLA grabbed a commitment from No. 39 overall prospect, cornerback Darnay Holmes. Safety Bubba Bolden, the nation's No. 139 overall prospect, announced his commitment to USC. Arizona State landed running back Eno Benjamin, the nation's No. 280 prospect, while Oregon State received a commitment from three-star wide receiver Jamire Calvin.

USC picked up a commitment from ESPN 300 safety Bubba Bolden for the second time in this recruiting cycle. Bolden originally committed to USC over a year ago but backed away from that over the summer. But Bolden rejoined the USC class with a commitment during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday. Bolden selected USC over Arizona State and Ohio State. Bolden is the seventh ESPN 300 prospect for the Trojans in this class.

ESPN 300 RB Eno Benjamin has committed to Arizona State. The U.S. Army All-American was previously committed to Iowa and had also been considering Baylor, Utah, Michigan and Texas.

Arizona State welcomed ESPN 300 running back Eno Benjamin to its recruiting class on Saturday, as the nation's No. 280 prospect announced his commitment during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Benjamin is a big recruiting win for the Sun Devils, as they reach into Texas to grab the former Iowa commitment who was also considering Texas and Utah. He is the second running back commitment for Arizona State, joining fellow Texas prospect Trelon Smith. He is the fourth ESPN 300 commitment for the Sun Devils.

Scout's Take: Tyler Johnson to Arizona State

Arizona State won a major victory on the trail when ESPN 300 ATH Tyler Johnson ended the speculation and committed to the Sun Devils. Now the only question is where will he line up in Tempe?

David Lombardi ESPN Staff Writer

SD State plays both Stanford and ASU next year. The Aztecs are coming off two straight 11-win seasons. The time is ripe for them to emerge from under the radar.

Erik McKinney ESPN Staff Writer

Arizona State landed an important commitment on Friday, as ESPN 300 athlete Tyler Johnson announced his verbal pledge to the Sun Devils. The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder held offers from elite programs across the country but winds up as yet another big in-state get for Arizona State, which has turned the tide against coveted Arizona prospects heading elsewhere. The Sun Devils now hold commitments from two of the four ESPN 300 prospects in the state and Johnson becomes the second ESPN 300 prospect to commit to ASU this week, joining cornerback Alex Perry.
