UCF tells kicker he can't profit from YouTube

A source said UCF never gave Donald De La Haye an ultimatum; rather, he met with the compliance staff and they offered to work toward a solution. The NCAA has not been involved in the matter, and all correspondence has been handled by UCF.

With the 90th pick (third round), the Seahawks selected Central Florida cornerback Shaquill Griffin. Griffin is 6 feet with 32 3/8-inch arms and tested very well at the combine. This is the highest the Seahawks have ever selected a cornerback during the Pete Carroll/John Schneider era. Given that DeShawn Shead is coming off a serious knee injury, Griffin should have a chance to compete for a starting job opposite Richard Sherman immediately.

Former Clemson cornerback and grad transfer Adrian Baker says he is down to three schools: UCF, Houston and Oklahoma State. Baker, who started three games for the Tigers in 2015 before suffering a torn ACL last year, has visited all three schools and plans to make a decision in May.

Who would have predicted Arkansas State would be bowl champs after starting the season 0-4, including a loss to FCS Central Arkansas? The Red Wolves capped quite the turnaround with a 31-13 win over UCF in the AutoNation Cure Bowl, ending the season with wins in eight of their last nine games. It was ugly -- the teams combined for 26 penalties and 41 rushing yards (fewest in a bowl game in FBS history). But Arkansas State will take that.

Anybody looking for offense should probably turn away from the AutoNation Cure Bowl between UCF and Arkansas State. The teams have combined for a total of 12 first downs and 259 total yards (including just 25 yards rushing). The difference has been special teams, which led to two scores for Arkansas State and a 17-10 first half lead.

Arkansas State is off to a 17-0 lead on UCF in the Cure Bowl after blocking a punt for a score and converting a fumble into another touchdown. It's defense has been stifling, too, holding the Knights to 48 total yards in the first quarter. What's more, UCF has hurt itself with penalties, too -- seven to start the game.
