6-foot-10, 270 pound center Aaron Durley (Houston/Bush H.S.) became new TCU head coach Trent Johnson's first recruit over the weekend, multiple sources reported. Durley was recently released from his letter of intent to Marquette, citing a desire to play closer to his home in Houston.
Houston native Clyde Smith put an end to his recruitment on Monday when he verbally committed to TCU, mulitiple sources are reporting. Smith chose the Horned Frogs over Northwestern, Stanford, Boston University and Notre Dame.
According to a source, Fort Worth native Charles Hill will play his college basketball in his hometown after verbally committing to TCU on Friday. ESPN Recruiting describes Hill as an "athletic, tough, hardnosed guard who competes on both ends.
