Letters have been signed and turkey has been gobbled. Now it's time to focus on the court.

That's where No. 1 sophomore Azzi Fudd and St. John's College have been making magic happen. They debut at No. 1 spot in the espnW 25 Power Rankings for Week 1.

No. 1 senior Haley Jones, weeks after signing with Stanford, has 2017-18 national champion Archbishop Mitty in the mix again. No. 1 junior Paige Bueckers and Hopkins make the cut, too.

Some big-time showdowns highlight the upcoming week. We're talking Jordan Horston and Africentric vs. Rickea Jackson and Detroit Edison. And Tamia Davis and Southeast Raleigh vs. Kirsten Deans and Westridge Academy.

Coming off a 32-2 season a year ago, sensational sophomore Azzi Fudd, North Carolina signee Malu Mutombo and St. John's College are back in the business of collecting "Ws." St. John's already has beaten powerhouse Christ the King, 57-49. Fudd dropped 35 points anywhere she wanted and Mutumbo controlled the paint. Among the top teams in the 2018 power rankings, SJC is ready to make a title run in 2018-19.

Speaking of teams stacked with talent ... Bishop McNamara features NC State signee Jakia Brown-Turner, junior stock-riser Madison Scott and Mississippi State-bound point guard Aliyah Matharu. No doubt this is a team capable of making a championship run.

3Africentric (3-0)

Tennessee signee Jordan Horston (the No. 2 prospect in 2019) and Africentric will make a bold bid to run the table all the way to a national championship. She's got some help. Africentric has a dynamic backcourt with juniors Nyam Thornton and Alexia Smith, along with Sakima Walker, a promising 6-3 center. A Saturday showdown with Detroit Edison will go a long way to sorting out the season's hierarchy.

Mississippi State-bound Rickea Jackson (the No. 9 prospect in 2019) was superb in 2017-18 and needs to duplicate the effort in 2018-19. She has help in 5-8 dynamo, Damiya Hagemann, a freshman point guard, one of the nation's best. The question is: Who will prevail Saturday vs. No. 3 Africentric?
5Southeast Raleigh (6-0)

Senior point guard Tamia Davis (Kansas) and junior Jamia Hazell form a dynamic backcourt for Southeast Raleigh. Junior forward Anya Poole adds to this talented group looking to go perfect in 2018-19. A test looms Friday against talented Riverdale Baptist, ranked 24th.

UCLA signee Charisma Osborne provides scoring, scoring and more scoring for this powerhouse. Windward fell early to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, California), but it got revenge days later. Perhaps a rubber match in March?

7Grandview (4-0)

How's this for a front line? 6-6 freshman Lauren Betts, 6-2 senior Alisha Davis (Northern Colorado) and 6-4 sophomore center Addison O'Grady. Combined with junior point guard Tomia Johnson, this is the best Grandview team since Michaela Onyenwere (UCLA) dominated in 2017. A showdown with Fran Belibi and No. 19 Regis Jesuit is scheduled for Wednesday.

Westridge boasts one of the best backcourts in the country, led by West Virginia signee Kirsten Deans and Cincinnati-bound and Jordan Tuff. They'll be challenged by Southeast Raleigh on Friday.
9Archbishop Mitty (2-0)

The 2017-18 national champions have the No. 1 prospect in Stanford bound Haley Jones. There's more. Sophomore guard Hunter Hernandez is a key contributor. Mitty will attempt to defend its title at the Nike Tournament of Champions later this month.

Rickie Woltman (Purdue) headlines a talented team that has national title aspirations. Kiki Britzmann (Belmont), Marisa Warren (DePaul) and freshman wiz Saniah Tyler could make the difference. They're headed to the Iolani Classic in Hawaii.

Hamilton Heights Christian was upended early by No. 2 Bishop McNamara, 57-54. Kamilla Cardosa, a 6-6 junior center, and Treasure Hunt lead the way for this super talented team.

13New Hope Academy (9-1)

New Hope suffered an early-season loss to Texas' Cedar Hill, but the roster is loaded. With Vanderbilt signee Demi Washington, Duke signee Jennifer Ezeh and sophomore playmaker Jada Walker, you better believe this team will rebound from the early setback. New Hope gets a big chance to make a statement Saturday against No. 2 Bishop McNamara.

Christ the King fell to St. John's College and National Christian Academy, but this team is too good to stay down for long. Florida signee Cavina Rickards and Ohio State signee Kaelynn Satterfield have a whole bunch of senior-season wins in store for them.

Senior guard Destiny Jackson (Rice), part of a group of tested and talented seniors, moves the needle for Timberview, which fell to Cedar Hill by one point but beat perennial power Duncanville.

A talented group, led by Wisconsin signee Tara Stauffacher, is off to a perfect start. Aly VanLoo (North Dakota) anchors the post while Matyson Wilke, a sophomore shooting sensation adds to the backcourt.
