While Miami Country Day was making its daring run to the title at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Arizona, Bishop McNamara was calmly rolling up a 4-0 record at the Crescom Bank Invitational in South Carolina.

Combine those two and it equals a new No. 1.

Led by Mississippi State signee Aliyah Matharu, NC state signee Jakia Brown-Turner and junior Madison Scott, Bishop McNamara topped four worthy opponents by an average of 36.5 points in Myrtle Beach.

Sparked by last-second magic from Maria Alvarez, Miami Country day moves all the way up to No. 3 in the espnW 25 Power Rankings for Week 3.

Previous No. 1 St. John's College, which falls to No. 5, was among Miami Country Day's victims in Phoenix.
