espnW 25 Power Rankings: Week 7

It's been a long journey into the top five for Windward (Los Angeles, Calif.), and the road doesn't appear to be getting any easier.

The Wildcats, who started the season unranked, moved into the top 10 after running the table at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix in December and then knocking off two big-time opponents at the Oaks Christian tournament later that month.

Now, after beating another ranked team in Long Beach Poly (Calif.), Windward finds itself at No. 4 in the espnW 25 Power Rankings for Week 7.

Led by juniors Jordin Canada, the No. 2 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 for the Class of 2014, and Kristen Simon, the No. 43 prospect, the Wildcats have won 21 straight.

Windward will be tested again, though, in a weekend matchup against JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.), which pushed top-ranked Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) last week.

Last Week: 2
As expected, the matchup with Oakland (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) wasn't a walk in the park, but the Warriors still pulled away for their 21st win of the season.

Midlothian (Texas) and Grand Prairie (Texas) were the lastest victims of the Pantherettes' dominance.
