espnW 25 Power Rankings: Final

The 2012-13 high school girls' basketball season belongs to Riverdale (Murfreesboro, Tenn.). But it was Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, Calif.) that made the final wave.

With a 35-0 record, a third state title in the past four years and the first undefeated season in program history, the Lady Warriors finish the season as the No. 1 team in the espnW 25 Power Rankings.

The Dragons move up to No. 7 in the final rankings of the 2012-13 season after knocking off Windward (Los Angeles), last week's No. 2 team, 60-45 in Saturday's California Interscholastic Federation Open Division state championship game.

Windward entered the showdown with a 32-game winning streak (including a 58-43 win over O'Dowd in December), but Bishop O'Dowd exited it with a 24-game winning streak.

Led by four seniors -- Duke signee Oderah Chidom, San Diego State signee Ariell Bostick, Cal signee K.C. Waters and Virginia Tech signee Breanna Brown -- and undeclared sophomore Asha Thomas, Bishop O'Dowd finishes the season where it started -- in the top 10.

Bishop O'Dowd opened the season as the No. 5 team in the nation, but suffered three early losses and tumbled out of the top 25. After a five-week absence, the Dragons returned to the top 25 in early February and finish at No. 7 in late March.

The road was much smoother for Riverdale, which started the season at No. 6 and inched its way up with a steady stream of wins until taking over the No. 1 slot earlier this month.

Riverdale will take a 58-game winning streak into next season.
