Moldenhauer's HR puts Texas back on top, 3-2

June, 14, 2009
Southern Miss pitcher Todd McInnis had allowed only one hit since giving up a two-out double to Kevin Keyes in the first inning that scored both of Texas' runs.

McInnis looked well on his way to getting through the sixth inning with that tally intact after recording two quick outs. But Russell Moldenhauer's solo home run regained the lead for Texas, 3-2. It was the first home run of the season for the Longhorns' DH and it couldn't have come at a better time.

McInnis struck out Keyes to end the inning. Southern Miss coach Corky Palmer may have to consider replacing his ace, as he ended the inning at 94 pitches for the game.
