Generally SEC teams build their football programs by recruiting the top high school prospects in the country. Sometimes, however, the prospects don't have the grades to qualify, there are transfers from other programs, or they just slip through the cracks and try to go the junior college route instead of signing with a lower level school.

We've got a good one tonight as No. 3 Clemson goes against conference foe North Carolina State. It's not the SEC, I know, but we'll make due. Georgia fans looking to remain in the title picture should hope for a Clemson blowout to keep making that one early loss look better and better on the resume.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- With LSU's summer semester under way, new players who graduated from their previous schools in May are on campus and taking part in summer workouts. BATON ROUGE, La. -- With the 2012-2013 school year winding down, the members of the LSU signing class of 2013 should be arriving on campus soon for summer workouts. The Tigers brought in eight early enrollees in the spring and 19 more will come this summer.

The Louisiana state high school track and field meet at LSU's Bernie Moore Stadium wasn't kind to many of the state's top football players, who struggled with either injuries or "off" weekends.
It was a huge weekend for LSU football. It was also a bit of a black eye for Tigers football. On the same weekend LSU set an NFL record with six defensive players drafted in the first three rounds and a school record with nine players total getting picked, the Tigers also had two players arrested -- their leading rusher and a draft prospect two nights before he was picked.
BATON ROUGE, La. -- The offers keep coming in for 2014 defensive end Davon Godchaux. Already sporting offers from the likes of Florida and Nebraska, Godchaux added an offer this week from Florida State, which offered the defensive end from Plaquemine, La.
BATON ROUGE, La. -- If you see Jeryl Brazil run a 100-meter dash at less than you'd expect from the fastest player in the class of 2013, don't panic. Brazil, it turns out, is pacing himself on the track this spring.
