Tyler Dorsey has committed to Oregon, he announced on his Twitter account Monday.
I have committed to the University of Oregon #Ducks 🐥— Tyler Dorsey (@TDORSEY_1) February 2, 2015
Dorsey is the No. 38-ranked prospect in the ESPN 100 and was the second-best guard still on the board in the 2015 class. He chose the Ducks over California, Colorado, Connecticut, Arizona State and Kansas.
The 6-foot-4 Maranatha (California) product was a onetime Arizona pledge but reopened his recruitment in June after the Wildcats took a commitment from Justin Simon and began offering scholarships to other guards.
Dorsey has been on an absolute tear lately, hitting the 40-point mark with regularity. He is one of the better scoring guards in the 2015 class and is excellent at attacking the basket off the dribble. Dorsey is capable of playing both guard positions, although he's much better when looking for his own shot.
Dorsey should slot into Oregon's backcourt without much competition next season, as the Ducks are losing senior Joseph Young (18.7 PPG) -- one of the best all-around guards in the country.
