Miles Norris, a junior power forward ranked in the ESPN 60, has committed to Oregon.

Norris said Arizona and San Diego State were the other schools showing the most interest in him over the past few weeks.

"I knew where I wanted to go," Norris told ESPN. "Talking to my parents and my coaches, I felt like it was the perfect fit. I wasn't going to wait. When I went there for an unofficial visit, I just loved the atmosphere. Together as one, I love the culture."

The 6-foot-9 Norris is ranked No. 48 in the ESPN 60 for the class of 2018. Because of his size, length and ability to make shots from the perimeter, Oregon coaches compared Norris to departing senior forward Chris Boucher. Boucher was one of the best shot-blockers in the Pac-12, but he also shot 35 percent from 3-point range, despite standing 6-foot-10.

"I went to some of their games," Norris said. "I loved how they played him in their offense. I can do the same thing and excel."

Norris, who attends Helix High School (California), is averaging 7.6 points and 5.6 rebounds with Earl Watson Elite on the Under Armour Association circuit. He also has blocked eight shots in eight games.
