Texas had ESPNU's second-ranked class when national signing day began. Then, in a huge surprise, Torshiro Davis decided he wanted to be a Longhorn.
Davis had long been an LSU commit and Texas coaches had canceled an in-home visit with him. Whatever changed his mind, the ESPNU 150 defensive end is a welcome addition to an already loaded 2012 class.
The late addition capped a remarkable week for Mack Brown and his staff. In a 10-day span, the Longhorns were able to get three ESPNU 150 players to switch commitments.
