PITTSBURGH -- Mario Lemieux has been saying the same thing
for a few weeks now -- his ailing hip feels good enough that he'll
play for Team Canada in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake
City in February.
But Lemieux's remarks gathered more attention when he repeated
them before the Pittsburgh Penguins' 5-2 loss Tuesday night at Vancouver.
That's because he was talking to the media in Canada, where his
Olympic dream is the nation's Olympic dream.
Lemieux says the chance to win a gold medal at age 36 would be
right up there with the two Stanley Cups he's won with the Penguins.
