Top backs can't stop scoring

Good luck keeping any of these three running backs out of the endzone. All three have scoring streaks dating back to last season with Saquon Barkley putting up an insane 25 all-purpose touchdowns in that stretch. Ronald Jones III has 21 scores and Bryce Love has 13 TDs.

X factor for Stanford down the stretch: QBs Chryst, Costello

Opposing defenses are going to keep trying to find ways to stop Bryce Love. That's going to mean a lot of people in the box, leaving more opportunities for Keller Chryst (and sometimes K.J. Costello) to make plays through the passing game.

Stanford coach David Shaw said the Pac-12's schedule, where most teams play 6-8 league games in a row, increases the difficulty level compared to leagues where FCS opponents or weaker FBS opponents are mixed in. "It is back-to-back-to back-to-back conference games, and those are tough," Shaw said. "You're going to have games where you aren't at your absolute best. That's just life in the Pac-12."
