No. 4 Ohio State holds off No. 15 TCU 40-28 after quick TDs

Big defensive tackle Dre'Mont Jones returned an interception thrown right at him 28 yards for one of No. 4 Ohio State's three touchdowns in a four-minute span of the third quarter in a 40-28 victory over No. 15 TCU on Saturday night.

Buckeyes first-year starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins had a big performance in relief at Michigan last year, but he passed a big test on Saturday night against TCU. Haskins completed 24 of 38 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns, and added a rushing touchdown. Most important: No turnovers.

Ryan Day says momentum a key factor in OSU's win (0:53)
Haskins keeps it himself for TD (0:24)
Robinson drops 51-yard TD pass to Hights (0:45)

TCU had all of the momentum, and Ohio State was without its best player, defensive end Nick Bosa, who went to the locker room with an injury. But in a span of 4 minutes and one second, the Buckeyes reeled off three touchdowns, including their second defensive touchdown of the game and another touchdown that was set up by a blocked punt. The Buckeyes have been ragged, but they've found ways to manufacture points.

Ohio State's defensive line now has more touchdowns (2) than the Buckeyes offense (1) as the team reclaims the lead midway through the third quarter. The Buckeyes' defense has looked more energized the past two series, bringing pressure even without star end Nick Bosa. Odd game for Ohio State's defense, which surrendered the longest play from scrimmage in team history (93 yards) but also has two touchdowns.

Ohio State star defensive end Nick Bosa walking slowly to the locker room. Appeared to injure his groin or possibly right knee. He created Ohio State's only touchdown so far tonight with a strip-sack of Shawn Robinson.

Darius Anderson's 93-yard touchdown run was the longest in TCU history and was also the longest play from scrimmage allowed in Ohio State history.

Ohio State might have one of the most talented defensive lines in college football, but TCU's offensive line has more than held its own in this game. What's more, TCU offensive coordinator Sonny Cumbie has been really good at mixing it up and keeping Ohio State off balance. The Frogs have used tempo, thrown it quickly and been able to run the ball.

Anderson flies down sidelines for 93-yard TD (0:54)
