Louisville, associate AD Mark Jurich part ways

Louisville has parted ways with Mark Jurich and two others amid an athletics department shake-up. Jurich, son of former Cardinals athletic director Tom Jurich, served as a senior associate AD.

Louisville officially announced Brian VanGorder as its new defensive coordinator, replacing Peter Sirmon. VanGorder's last stint as a defensive coordinator didn't go well. He was fired at Notre Dame four games into the 2016 season after a steep decline in the Irish's defensive production.
