Rams DL Michael Brockers, on Adrian Peterson: "Man, when you got a name like 'All Day' as your nickname, it's kind of hard to back that up. And he can give it to you all day, man. If you let him get going, he can have 293 yards. I've been a part of that game when he's had 200 yards, and you just can't stop him. We just have to get him before he gets started. Get him in the backfield, get tackles for loss, mess up their rhythm."

Rams DL Michael Brockers, on facing the Cardinals: "This is a divisional game. They know us, we know them. They don't like us very much, we don't like them very much. It'll be an all-out war."

Rams QB Jared Goff, who grew up near San Francisco, started a GoFundMe page to help those affected by California wildfires. Seeing what J.J. Watt did for Hurricane Harvey victims "gave me an idea," he said.

Rams coach Sean McVay said DB Lamarcus Joyner, who missed the last three weeks with a hamstring injury, will play on Sunday "if everything goes according to plan." ILB Mark Barron (thumb) and S Cody Davis (thigh) sat out practice, but the Rams have a chance to be fully healthy near the midway point of the season. "Very fortunate," said McVay, who credited the training staff.

One thing Rams QB Jared Goff would like to improve on from Sunday is "throwing the ball down the field." "I was disappointed we didn't hit any of those deep balls," he said. Asked specifically about connecting with Sammy Watkins (10 targets and 2 catches the last 3 weeks), Goff said: "We've done it before; I don't think we need to change anything. Just continue to get reps, try to dial it in, and be more consistent. But we've done it before."

Power Rankings: Rams in unfamiliar territory

With another win, the Rams climbed into the top 10 for the first time since Week 10 of 2015. This marks the first time they've been ranked ninth or better since the end of the 2003 season.

FPI not sold on Rams just yet

The Sean McVay era is off to a roaring start in Tinseltown, but ESPN's FPI suggests tempering expectations. Despite leading the NFL in points per game (29.8), the Rams have less than a 30 percent chance of reaching the postseason by the current metrics.

The Rams' special teams contributed 17 Expected Points Added in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, the highest EPA total for any special teams unit in the last 10 years. The Rams got a kickoff return (by Pharoh Cooper) and a blocked punt (by Cory Littleton) for a touchdown. Greg Zuerlein made a 56-yard field goal, and Johnny Hekker pinned four punts inside the opponents' 20.

On the road again, and the Rams don't mind

The Rams are 3-0 on the road this year, so a "home game" in London with preceding practices in Jacksonville isn't too much of a bad thing.

Pharoh Cooper on his first NFL TD

Rams wide receiver and return specialist Pharoh Cooper talks about running the kickoff back for his first NFL touchdown on Sunday, playing with Jared Goff and the high scoring offense this season.

Rams coach Sean McVay, asked what he still needs to see from Jared Goff: "You just want to see consistency, playing each play as its own entity. There were a couple times -- and I think he'd be the first to tell you this -- where whether it be in our play-action game, or some of the third downs, where he has to make better decisions with the football or go where the coverage dictates based on his progression. But what I will say -- and something you can't coach -- that's really impressive is that no matter what happens over the course of a game, he remains even-keeled."

Sean McVay was walking out of the Rams' facility at 10 pm on Thursday, six hours after practice ended, and saw Aaron Donald's car in the lot. He went into the D-line room and caught Donald watching film of how offensive linemen set on pass plays. "When you have the talent that also matches up with the motivation, the appreciation for the process, the preparation and the approach, you get special players like him," McVay said. "... You just walk away and say, 'I'm sure glad that guy's on my team.'"

Rams TE Derek Carrier cleared the concussion protocol. Everybody else came out of Sunday's game fine. RB Lance Dunbar is also healthy and eligible to come off PUP, but the team can also delay that process by a week or two in order to preserve depth. Rams continue to be very fortunate on the injury front. The only real question is DB Lamarcus Joyner, who has missed the past three games with a bad hamstring.

The Rams' defense is starting to dominate

Giving up a 75-yard touchdown run right out of the gate stunned them, but the Rams recovered Sunday and continued a trend of stifling opponents.
