Former Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman has signed a deal with the CFL Montreal Alouettes. He had gone to minicamp with the Calgary Stampeders last year but wasn't awarded a contract. That last time he took a snap in the NFL was 2015.

Bucs safety Ward charged for pot possession

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety T.J. Ward was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Bucs have signed eight players to futures contracts: cornerback Maurice Fleming, fullback Austin Johnson, wide receiver Jake Lampman, wide receiver Devin Lucien, linebacker Eric Nzeocha, tackle Givens Price, tackle Grad Seaton and guard Avery Young.

Just in: Bucs rookie wide receiver Chris Godwin has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, becoming just the second wide receiver in team history to win the award. He had seven catches for 111 yards against the Saints, including the game-winning touchdown.
