Play of the day at camp: Cole Beasley had as productive a day as he has had all camp, but he might have made one of the catches of camp too. In seven on seven drills, Beasley was working the back line of the end zone and Dak Prescott threw behind him intentionally away from the defender. Beasley was able to twist backward, make the catch going to the ground and keep his feet inbounds.

Overheard at camp: Executive vice president Stephen Jones said linebacker Jaylon Smith will be on a "pitch count," of sorts when he makes his debut Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts. Jones said the Cowboys like everything Smith has done in training camp but the team wants to be smart with him as he plays his first game since the 2016 Fiesta Bowl.
