Dan Bailey is in the blue tent behind the Cowboys bench getting examined. He appeared to get kicked in the head on the Raiders' most recent kickoff.

The Cowboys enter the fourth quarter with a 17-10 lead. They have outscored their last two opponents, 41-7, to pull away for wins. Can they do the same against Oakland?

Dan Bailey slow to get up after that kickoff return. Another thing to watch as the game goes forward. Jeff Heath kicked three point after attempts in the Cowboys' visit to San Francisco earlier this season when Bailey suffered a groin injury.

Tyron Smith has a sprained right knee. On the replay, it looked like his leg got stuck in the ground while he was engaged with a Raider defender. He is questionable to return.

Dak Prescott runs for his sixth touchdown of the year to give the Cowboys the lead with 45 seconds left in the third quarter. Might Chris Jones' first-down pickup on a fake punt be the play that keeps the Cowboys in the playoffs?

Terrance Williams got his left ankle taped after he was unable to come up with the flea-flicker pass from Dak Prescott.

Byron Bell is in a left tackle with Tyron Smith getting his right knee looked at.

Like he did last year against Philadelphia, punter Chris Jones gives the Cowboys some life with a fake punt that gains 24 yards.

The wheels are falling off. Dak Prescott intercepted by Sean Smith for the second time. Replay will overturn Smith's touchdown return, but the Cowboys have seen this game turned in a bad way. Bruce Irving deflected the ball as it was coming out of Prescott's hand, creating the flutter.

With momentum swinging, Ryan Switzer takes a kickoff 7 yards deep out of the end zone and gets to the Dallas 15. Not wise.

For the fourth time in the six games, the Cowboys have given up a score on the opening possession of the second half. Raiders back in this thing and the crowd is into it. Let's see how the Cowboys answer with a 10-7 lead.

More good fortune for the Cowboys. Cordarrelle Patterson's kickoff return for a touchdown called back because of a holding penalty. The correct call, too.

Needing a win to have somewhat realistic chances of making the playoffs, the Cowboys lead 10-0 at halftime against Oakland, but missed a chance at three takeaways and had a fortuitous pass interference penalty wipe out a touchdown. Offensively, they started hot enough but had an interception wipe out a scoring chance on their first drive.

Jared Cook broke the Cowboys hearts in the playoffs last January with a first down grab on third and forever for Green Bay. He was called for pass interference tonight to wipe out a Raiders touchdown. Was it a penalty? Perhaps but the half couldn't have ended better for the Cowboys with Giorgio Tavecchio missing a 39-yard field goal attempt.

After allowing 52 yards on their first three drives. the Cowboys have given up 53 with the Raiders at their 11 late in the first half.

Defensive end Benson Mayowa is questionable to return with a back injury. He might have played just one series before coming out.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

Sometimes I wonder if the Cowboys get them off schedule with their running back rotation. Alfred Morris had 51 yards on seven carries to start the first two series but then Rod Smith got the work on the third series. Morris came back on the fourth series and had two carries for no yards.

The last time the Cowboys had a runner with a rushing touchdown in four straight games came in 2014 when DeMarco Murray did it twice on his way to leading the NFL in rushing.

Have to give Chidobe Awuzie credit for that tackle/hit on Marshawn Lynch. The running back was enthused with the hit, but Awuzie held firm enough there. The rookie will stick his nose in there.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

Jeff Heath fails to come up with a fumble by Michael Crabtree forced by Chidobe Awuzie. That's at least the third missed opportunity at a takeaway for the Dallas defense.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

On their third defensive series, after playing just six snaps in the first quarter, the Cowboys have six new defensive players in the base defense: Anthony Brown, Kavon Frazier, Jaylon Smith, Benson Mayowa, Taco Charlton and Daniel Ross.

Rod Smith with a 1-yard touchdown run. This is the fourth straight game he has had a rushing touchdown. Cowboys up 10-0 with 14:04 left in the half.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

The Cowboys ran 22 plays to Oakland's six in the first quarter. They only have a 3-0 lead. A touchdown here is big.

Todd Archer ESPN Staff Writer

The Cowboys will open the second quarter at the Oakland 8. Just a reminder, they have converted 29 of 46 red-zone drives into touchdowns on the season.

After missing three kicks last week against the New York Giants, Dan Bailey makes a 45-yard field goal attempt to give the Cowboys a 3-0 lead. The Cowboys have moved the ball well on two drives, especially on the ground with 54 yards on nine carries.
