Rick Carlisle on the Mavs' 35-minute postgame meeting: "I just wanted to watch the third quarter with them right after the game. We lost it by 17. It was really the most decisive quarter of the game. I just told them that I'm tired of coming in here and watching film every morning. I wanted them to see what happened. I wanted it to be fresh in their minds walking out of the building." Rick Carlisle: "That's got to be an NBA record last night for the number of timeouts called in regulation. … But that's not the kind of record you want to be setting." Carlisle twice called timeouts that the Mavs didn't have during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's lopsided loss to the Kings. He figured a technical foul was worth taking the opportunity to give his team what he considered necessary coaching. "You don't ever really run out of timeouts," Carlisle said. "They just have a price."
