La'el Collins on his two-year extension with the Dallas Cowboys: "Definitely means a lot to me. Means a lot to my family in so many ways. I'm super excited and I'm just happy that I get to be with the Cowboys for the amount of time that I do and I look to really be here forever. Dez Bryant made Joshua Williams day Tuesday. Bryant pulled Williams out of the stands after practice and played catch for a few minutes. Bryant signed the football when they finished. It just so happened to be Williams' ninth birthday. He was overcome with emotion after meeting Bryant. His mom, Jessica, admitted it will be hard to top this birthday celebration.

In addition to the $4 million signing bonus, La'el Collins will receive $9.5 million fully guaranteed over the next two years. He has base salaries of $1 million and $4.5 million in 2017-18. His base salary in 2019 is $6.5 million and can grow to $8.5 million if he plays in 85% of the snaps in each of the next two seasons.

Closing arguments have ended and Judge Elizabeth Pollard Hines is reading the jury instructions in the Jourdan Lewis misdemeanor domestic violence trial. During closing arguments, the accuser and the accuser's mother, who also testified, sat in the last row of the courtroom for at least part of closing statements.
