Jerry Jones' power doesn't equal success

After a tumultuous week that ended with him receiving his Hall of Fame ring while the Cowboys were blown out at home, we're reminded of how the owner of football's signature franchise has fallen short.

The Cowboys season is on the brink of disaster after their 37-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium. At 5-5, the Cowboys' division hopes are all but gone and the wild-card chances took a big hit. Maybe it's a good thing there is a quick turnaround to play the Los Angeles Chargers. Then again, maybe not? There are no answers on offense or defense.

Dak Prescott with the first three-interception game of his career. The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off a 54-24 win today against the Buffalo Bills.

The Cowboys are now just getting embarrassed. A sack fumble was returned for a touchdown to Nigel Bradham to give Philly a 37-9 lead with 10:43 to play. The crowd of more than 93,000 is starting to filter out. Well, at least the Cowboys' fans. The Eagles fans are loving this.

The Eagles have touchdown drives now of 75, 90 and 85 yards in the second half. Will Jason Garrett go all Bill Belichick after this game and say, 'We're on to the Chargers?'

Anthony Hitchens is questionable to return because of a groin injury. The Cowboys are without Sean Lee for likely two more games and now Hitchens has an injury question with a game in four days.

Cowboys defense will be bailed out by a replay review on a Nelson Agholor touchdown, but it seems like this will only delay the inevitable. It's time to think about the Los Angeles Chargers on Thanksgiving.

Carson Wentz is putting on a show in the second half. He is simply shrugging off any defender (DeMarcus Lawrence, David Irving, Damien Wilson) and is about to put this game away.

Cowboys defense opens the second half giving up touchdown drives of 75 and 90 yards. The offense has responded with three first downs on their first two drives. Philadelphia's 14-point lead looking insurmountable at this point.

Cowboys defense shredded for a 71-yard gain by Jay Ajayi after giving up just 35 rushing yards in the first half. The Eagles now have a 23-9 lead with scores on their first two possessions of the second half. Sensing folks will be wondering about second-half adjustments.

The Cowboys have had 19 possessions so far in two games without Ezekiel Elliott and have scored one touchdown on a drive that was 21 yards after a takeaway against Atlanta.

With Jake Elliott out, the Eagles are turning to linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill to kickoff. Let's see if he can do what Jeff Heath did for the Cowboys in San Francisco handling kickoffs.

Eagles open up the second half like they did the first with a 75-yard touchdown drive with Corey Clement's 11-yard touchdown. The Eagles faced third down twice and picked up 28 and 18 yards.
