Rangers get LHP Moore in deal with Giants

Veteran left-hander Matt Moore, who went 6-15 with a 5.52 ERA for the Giants last season, has been traded to the Rangers along with international signing bonus pool money in exchange for two minor league pitchers.

Martin joins Rangers after 2 years in Japan

The Texas Rangers have finalized Chris Martin's $4 million, two-year contract after the homegrown pitcher spent the past two seasons in Japan. Martin had his first shot in the majors with Colorado three years ago.

Orlando Scandrick is working off to the side for the third straight day as he comes back from two transverse process fractures. His chances of playing against Oakland are limited at best but he is moving better this week.
