With Oklahoma in town, it's a prime opportunity for the Horned Frogs to impress recruits and one of TCU's most important targets is scheduled for an official visit this weekend. Coveted junior-college offensive tackle Jordan Agasiva of Pima (Arizona) Community College is slated to visit, and the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder lists Auburn, TCU, Oregon State and Utah as his top teams. He visited The Plains last weekend and gave the Tigers high marks, but he insists he'll take all of his visits before making a decision. Agasiva is on pace to graduate from Pima in December and enroll at a four-year school in January. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury in postgame radio interview on injured QB Patrick Mahomes II: "Sounds like he could be OK, but we've got to get up there and check him out." Tech beat Kansas 55-19. The Red Raiders visit Kansas State a week from Saturday.

Updated Nic Shimonek stat line: 14 of 18 for 275 yards and four touchdowns. His passer rating is 279.4. That's two Tech quarterbacks tonight with four TD passes. Good night, Kansas.

Mitch Sherman ESPN Staff Writer

Nic Shimonek is 11 of 14 for 190 yards and three scores in relief of Patrick Mahomes, who remains out after taking a shoulder hit late in the third quarter. No decline at all for Texas Tech, which leads 48-19. But make no mistake, this offense is built for Mahomes. Tech is a different team without him -- and the schedule grows more difficult from here. No word is yet available on the severity of the junior quarterback's injury.
