Texas did not release a depth chart and did not name a starting quarterback today. Charlie Strong says he's trying to give Notre Dame as little info as possible. We'll see if that extra secrecy pays off on Sunday night.

Tough act to follow (again) for Denver

The 2016 Broncos will become the sixth Super Bowl champion to start a different QB the following Week 1. Three of the previous teams ('71 Colts, '72 Cowboys, '01 Ravens) went on to win at least one playoff game, but the '99 Broncos fell to 6-10.

For those counting out Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo now that he is dealing with a compression fracture in his back, Jason Witten offers up some caution: "He's had a great offseason, he's built on a lot of those things. He had his best season after the back injury '13 going into '14. People are going to bet against him, that's fine, and I don't think that's unfair to do so. But if you know what he's about, which everybody in this building does, he's going to be back sooner than probably expected and he'll play better than anybody thought he would because I know that's what he's about. He's going to prepare himself. This is a minor setback for him, and he's done it his entire life and that gives us all a lot of confidence."
