Nerlens Noel was 10 minutes late to the team plane Tuesday, coach Rick Carlisle told reporters at shootaround in Atlanta. Carlisle said he planned to give Noel his first start with the Mavs but will bring the center off the bench against the Hawks due to his tardiness.

Texas recruit arrested on drug possession

Texas football signee Reese Leitao, a tight end from Jenks High School in Oklahoma, was booked into Tulsa County Jail on a charge of possession and delivery of a controlled substance.

Baylor suspends player under protective order

Baylor confirmed Travon Blanchard has been suspended indefinitely after a protective order was issued against him for allegations of violence by a woman with whom he's had a relationship.

Baylor confirmed senior starting defensive back Travon Blanchard has been suspended indefinitely amid allegations of violence by a woman with whom he's had a relationship. KWTX TV in Waco reports a protective order was issued against Blanchard after multiple allegations of abuse by the woman. "The Baylor Athletics Department is aware of a complaint made against Travon Blanchard through the McLennan County District Attorney's Office," the school said in a statement. "Immediately upon notification on February 7, the appropriate campus student-conduct process was initiated and Blanchard was suspended indefinitely from all team related activities, pending the outcome of the investigation."

Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones said he expects Jerry Jones and Tony Romo to meet "soon" regarding the quarterback's future. He wouldn't dismiss possibility of Romo remaining with the team but acknowledged it was unlikely. Stephen Jones said there are no definitive plans to meet with Romo's agents at the combine this week in Indianapolis.
