Since the Cowboys have only have two quarterbacks on the roster in Dak Prescott and Kellen Moore and did not draft one, they believe they will be a popular destination for undrafted quarterbacks. They have agreed to a deal with Central Michigan's Cooper Rush.

It was chaos at the top of the NHL draft lottery, with three teams - the Devils, Flyers and Stars - winning their way into the top three. New Jersey wins the lottery, moving up from five to No. 1 with Flyers picking second and Stars third. Devils will get first crack at Nico Hischier and Nolan Patrick, the two centers ranked at the top of the draft class. The Stars may be the biggest winners, adding a potential young star to a nucleus of Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and John Klingberg that is already playoff caliber.

The Cowboys final pick fell in line with what they had done with most of their first eight picks: a big-school defensive player. Colorado defensive linemen Jordan Carrell was the 248th selection, giving the Cowboys seven defensive players out of nine picks. He started 25 of his 26 games at Colorado and finished with 51 tackles and 5.5 sacks last season in earning honorable mention All-Pac 12 honors.

ESPN Stats and Information

After two years in junior college, Jordan Carrell took advantage of his opportunity at Colorado. In two seasons with the Buffs, he totaled six sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss, including five sacks as a senior.

The Texans already have two good centers in Nick Martin (2016 second-round pick) and Greg Mancz, so I'm not sure where Kyle Fuller fits in on the roster.
