Terrance Williams was not on the injury report Thursday but he was not on the field for the open portion of practice Friday as he continues to work through an ankle injury. Defensive tackle Stephen Paea (knee) is missing his second straight practice but the expectation is he will play Monday. Rookie corner Chidobe Awuzie is going through rehab for his hamstring strain.

Speaking on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, owner and general manager Jerry Jones said cornerback Nolan Carroll will not play Monday at Arizona because of a concussion. Carroll is at the facility today but he remains in the concussion protocol.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Thursday during a conference call with Arizona media that one of the reasons the Cowboys drafted RB Ezekiel Elliott was because of how much Ohio State coach Urban Meyer touted his effort without the ball. "His coaches at Ohio State stood on the the table for him in that regard," Garrett said. "Urban Meyer told us he's the best player he's ever had when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. He's demonstrated that to us over the course of the last year or so. That's just who he is."
