Source: Brooking not healthy for OTAs

Dallas Cowboys inside linebacker Keith Brooking underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee three weeks ago and will miss portions of next week's organized team activities, according to a source.

Brooking likely will be ready for training camp at the end of July and possibly for the mandatory minicamp in June.

Brooking had 106 tackles and three sacks last season, his first with the Cowboys after playing his first 11 years with the Atlanta Falcons.

With Brooking out, 2010 second-round pick Sean Lee and 2009 third-round selection Jason Williams will get more repetitions at the inside linebacker position during OTAs, which begin Monday at the team's Valley Ranch facility.

Williams saw limited action in his rookie year. He suffered an ankle sprain in the preseason and missed the first three weeks of the regular season. When healthy, he was inactive for eight regular-season games and the Cowboys' two playoff games.
